The icing on the cake has been that we have been able to confound the predictions of the the mezzanine company and the partitioning people with the short flight to the first landing that ensures we have ended up with over 2200mm clearance to the proposed ceiling in this area - congratulations!

Alan's suggestion that we use Alan to fit the stairs was well founded - he has made a superb job of the installation, with immaculate attention to detail.

The finished product looks so good that we have adjusted the positioning of the walls downstairs purely to make more af a feature of the stairs.
